The 2019 Annual Moments Golf Club Raffle and Holiday Party was a tremendous success. The Holiday Party, which was held at Spices Negril Restaurant in South Hempstead, was a festive and fun-filled evening. Members toasted and boasted, while enjoying the always delicious cuisine served up by owner and club member Jeff Bacchas.
The party was highlighted by pulling the winning raffle tickets. The money raised by selling the tickets is used to fund the clubs scholarship program, which since its inception has raised over $160,000 and has provided scholarships to over 150 graduating seniors in the Long Island area of New York. The club is also a patron of the Negril Education Environment Trust (NEET).
This past year’s fundraising drive resulted in a record number of raffle tickets sold. While all club members sold tickets, some club members were simply outstanding, helping to make this event a super success. The top ticket seller was Gerard Jones (at right in photo), who also planned, organized, and executed the fund raising drive. The top seven sellers include:
